Morphochambers

For most of human History, changing the body meant surgery.

For the Solseeds, it often means scheduling an appointment.

Morphochambers are controlled medical environments designed to oversee large-scale physiological modifications. They combine genetic engineering systems, tissue cultivation Technologies, metabolic support networks, and continuous medical monitoring into a single integrated facility.

A patient enters one body and leaves with another.

The extent of those changes varies enormously. Some chambers are used for relatively modest procedures such as skeletal reinforcement or respiratory upgrades. Others oversee transformations so extensive that patients may spend months within controlled recovery environments while entire organ systems are reconstructed.

Because many Clades maintain specialized adaptations for particular Worlds and habitats, Morphochambers became essential infrastructure for migration. Citizens relocating between radically different environments often undergo partial physiological revisions before departure.

Over time, the technology normalized a concept that would have seemed extraordinary to earlier generations.

The body ceased being a permanent condition.

It became something closer to a long-term project.
